John Dilworth
ZUNTERER, Anton Born 1858 Mittenwald, died 1917 Munich Germany. Studied at the Mittenwald school of violin making. Later worked for Sprenger in Stuttgart and Lemböck in Vienna. Took over the business of F. Ranftler in Munich 1888. Appointed luthier to the Bavarian Court. Succeeded by his son, also Anton. Stradivari and Guarneri models using both oil and spirit varnish.
