Joseph Anton Born 1707, died 1783. Worked briefly in Passau according to one often cited label which reads ‘Patavii‘ (previously misinterpreted as Padua, Italy). Remained in Füssen throughout most of his life. Coarse interpretations of Italian models, although scrolls well-carved and varnish effectively done.
