John Dilworth

Adolf Born 1879 Neu-Ulm Germany. Son and pupil of Anton Sprenger (II), below. Worked for Carl Zach in Vienna 1892. Employed in London and Paris. Then in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Finally settled in Stuttgart 1907 and appointed maker to the conservatoire there. Finely finished work on classical Italian models. Early instruments spirit varnished; later used an oil recipe.
