SIANI, Valentino Worked circa. 1620-1670 Florence Italy. Viol maker. Most sources report small violins with good golden brown varnish; not presently known. One viola illustrated in Hamma (Italian Violin makers) with exaggeratedly bulging archings, Germanic soundholes, and grotesque scroll, appears to be later 18th century work.
