SENTA, Fabrizio Worked circa. 1650-1675 Turin Italy. Rare but significant early Turin maker. Amatisé work. Slightly occluded golden-brown varnish of very fine quality. High narrow arch. Soundholes set close to the edge. Long outwardly projecting corners. Ribs sometimes set in a slot cut around the inner edges. Scroll with large open volutes and extra quarter-turn behind the eye. Contrastingly slender pegbox. A fine cello (ex- Medici) is housed in the Cherubini Museum, Florence. Fabricius Senta fecit / Taurini anno 1667
