SCHWERER, Antal Born 1855 Filipová, died 1895 Pécs Hungary. Pupil of W. J. Schunda in Budapest. Established independently there from 1877. Good Guarneri-derived model with short corners and golden orange-brown varnish. Example illustrated by Benedek has inlaid monograms on the back and decoratively carved chin to the pegbox.
