John Dilworth
SAUNDERS, David E. Born 1914 Summit New Jersey, died 1987 Seattle, Washington USA. Pupil of Goerge Orth in Seattle 1948. Established in Renton 1951, moving to Seattle 1955. Worked for John Chapin in San Francisco 1957, but settled in Seattle 1958, established at Rainier Avenue, and later in West Galer Street, until retirement in 1985. Very fine professional work. Copies of individual master instruments with fine oil varnish in appropriate shades. Chiefly occupied with repair and restoration. Only seven instruments recorded. [Wenberg]
