SACHETTI, Giannetto Born 1892, died 1978 San Martino in Rio Italy. Pupil of S. Scarampella in Mantua. Associated with his brother Leonidas, below, from 1919. Prolific maker, mostly exported to the USA via wholesalers. Stradivari and Guarneri models with golden-orange oil varnish. Also double basses. Exhibited in Fiume 1927 and Cremona 1937.
