John Dilworth

RINGWOOD, William Born 1773, died 1842 Dublin Republic of Ireland Apprenticed to T. Perry from 1785. Established at 150 Abbey Street from 1810, in partnership with J. Wheatley from 1829. Various addresses: 27 St Mary Street 1832, 15 Abbey Street 1833, 16 Towns Street 1841, and 14 Towns Street 1842. Succeeded by his son Arthur, above. One example known of very refined Panormo-like work on Stradivari model. Plain materials. Thin red-brown varnish of very good quality. [BVMA]
