Biographies
John Dilworth
MAST, Jean Laurent Born 1748, died 1791 Mirecourt France. Large flat-arched model. Undistinguished workmanship. Thick hard spirit varnish, dark red to very dark brown largely through oxidation. Although all his work was done in Mirecourt, output was stamped ‘Paris’. Branded beneath back button and internally: ‘J. L. Mast A Paris’ or ‘L. Mast à Paris’
