John Dilworth
LÉTÉ, Joseph Dominique Born 1804 Mirecourt, died 1871 Nantes France. Apprenticed to Moitessier. Worked for Gand in Paris and with J. B. Vuillaume 1825-1828. Established independently in Nantes. Slightly heavy work in the style of Gand and Vuillaume. Classical models with fine materials and hard red or golden brown varnish, sometimes shaded and aged. J H Lété, Luthier / à Nantes, 1834
