John Dilworth

DELANOY, Alexandre Born 1850 Mirecourt, died 1928 Bordeaux France. Pupil of Buthod. From 1877 worked for J. B. Vuillaume in Paris. Took over the atelier of N. Vaillant in rue Cadillac, Bordeaux 1880. Employed Louis Poiret and Marcel Lapouge. Passed the business to Lapouge in 1922. Won gold medal and diploma at Bordeaux Exhibition 1907. Stradivari model in the style of Vuillaume.
