John Dilworth
GOSS, Walter Solon Born 1853 Danvers, died 1925 Boston, Massachusetts USA. Moved to Lynn to work for the Musicians’ Supply Co. and Brown Music. Established independently there in 1896. Worked for Elias Howe and then Oliver Ditson in Boston from 1899. Established independently there in 1911. First prize at Chicago competition 1912. Classical models with oil varnish, local materials, and finely carved scrolls. Signed internally on the back. [Wenberg]
