RIESS (RIS), Joseph Worked circa. 1710-1737 Bamberg Germany. Fine high-arched Stainer models. Nuremberg school, similar to Maussiel and Widhalm, but less refined and generally a little heavier. Broad edges and purfling. Widely cut soundholes of Stainer form. Medium height arch but with wide edge flute.
