Mathurin-François b. Mirecourt, Worked circa. 1760-1790 Paris.Established in rue Sainte-Marguerite-Saint Antoine c.1760-1775 and rue Tiquetonne c.1775-1790. Violins in the style of Guersan and Gaviniès. Diminutive models with medium-high arch and golden-red varnish. Made many forms of plucked and bowed instruments. Viola d’amore in the Berlin Museum branded: ‘Remy à Paris’ Remy, / Luthier & facteur de harpe / à Paris
